Be Part of our Statewide Leadership
The Compassionate California Team is a growing team of passionate volunteers. If you’d like to learn more about being involved or would like to offer your skills to specific projects, contact us. We would love to learn more about your vision.City of Compassion Partners & Working Groups
One or more individuals from your organization would represent your group with the “Compassionate city name” working group, a diverse and inclusive coalition of people from various community organizations and businesses. The working group joins forces with the community’s governing body, and, hearing all voices within the community, take substantial actions to address the community’s greatest challenges.
With a shared vision and plan in place, members draft a Compassionate Community Resolution for the governing body to adopt. The working group is present to publicly affirm your City as a City of Compassion. The group commits to continue working towards the sustainable and lasting change that should occur in order to maintain a Compassionate Community.
The Compassionate Community working group itself determines any guidelines and length of the commitment. Members convene meetings and together engage in the compassionate work of the community.
Participating in the Compassion Games is also highly encouraged to get broad attention for your city.Monthly Conference Calls
We will begin hosting monthly Partner calls in the near future, inviting you all to come together to promote your work, know fellow Partners, share with us ideas that would help both Compassionate California and the Charter for Compassion as a whole, and explore how together we can bring more Compassion to our State and the world. Stay tuned for more details.Promotions
