Women & Girls

Picture
We join the Charter for Compassion International Women and Girls sector.

We are accomplishing this by convening women and women's organizations who initiate and supporting social good projects that preserve and foster the fundamental principles of universal justice, respect, and well being.  We're supporting such efforts as One Billion Rising, Global Women's Empowerment Network (GWEN), Million Mama's Movement, S.A.R.A.H., and other local, statewide, national and global efforts.

We hope you'll join us! Join us as a Partner and learn more.. HERE

Women’s Intercultural Network (WIN) is a Non-Governmental Organization  (NGO) with Consultative Status to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).   WIN’s mission is to ensure that all women and girls have a voice for full participation in their government and economy on the ground and on the Internet.   WIN has been ‘bringing  the global local’ since the 4th World Conference on Women, Beijing 1995 with the first state policy mechanism and implemented the Beijing Platform for Action (BPFA) with the California Women’s Agenda (CAWA).  A major focus of CAWA and the BPFA has been Human Rights policy and CEDAW – the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. The Spiritual and Religious Alliance for Hope, known as SARAH, is composed of interfaith women committed to making a difference in our communities. We recognize that collaboration is essential to creating miracles and we empower our communities to make a real difference towards peace, understanding which is essential in addressing our mutual goals of social justice. Our practices are dialogue, community service, panel discussions, and guest speakers. We meet to discuss and expand our experiences of women's spirituality in the home, community, and the world. Through these practices we learn about one another’s cultural and spiritual foundations in order to enrich our own lives, and together improve our communities.  Visit them HERE
